The BRICS Games will start in Kazan on June 12.

The organizers announced that the invitation campaign has already been completed: applications for participation from representatives of 97 countries have been received. These are 27 sports, about 5 thousand participants, more than 4 thousand foreigners. The official opening ceremony of the Games is scheduled for Russia Day on June 12. But the first competition day will be held on June 11.

387 sets of awards will be played in 27 sports. The competition will last until June 23. The mascot of the Games will be the leopard Brixik.

It should be noted that the BRICS Games is an annual multi—sport event that is becoming increasingly popular among the member countries of the BRICS economic association.
