The season in the National Hockey League (NHL) has ended. In the decisive seventh match of the Stanley Cup finals, the Florida Panthers from the United States and the Edmonton Oilers from Canada determined the winner of the trophy.

Recall that the Panthers led 3-0 in the final series, but the Canadian club did not give up and equalized the score — 3-3.

The teams started the final match of the series actively and exchanged abandoned goals. In the 5th minute, Carter Verhage put Florida ahead, playing at home, but Matthias Janmark restored equality on the 7th.

The Panthers were able to take the lead in the second twenty minutes after an accurate shot by Sam Rinehart. Edmonton tried to win back the rest of the time, but the Russian goalkeeper of Florida, Sergei Bobrovsky, played very reliably, deflecting 23 of 24 shots at his own goal.

Florida held the winning score and won the Stanley Cup for the first time.
