Turkmen weightlifters have won 13 medals at the Central Asian Open Championship (U-17)
From June 20 to 24, the Central Asian Open Weightlifting Championship among juniors and girls under 17 years old was held in Chirchik (Uzbekistan).
Athletes from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkey and Turkmenistan took part in the tournament.
Representatives of the Turkmen national team won 13 championship medals — 11 silver and 2 bronze awards.
Atabek Azamatov, competing in the weight up to 49 kg, showed the result: in the snatch (73 kg) — "silver", in the clean and jerk (86 kg) — "silver", in the sum of the double event (159 kg) — "silver".
Kakamyrat Annamyradov, competing in the weight up to 67 kg, showed the result: in the snatch (113 kg) — "silver", in the clean and jerk (133 kg) — "silver", in the sum of the double event (246 kg) — "silver".
Gurbangozel Orazova, competing in the weight + 71 kg, showed the result: in the snatch (55 kg) — "bronze", in the clean and jerk (78 kg) — "silver", in the sum of the double event (133 kg) — "silver".
Orazgul Babaniyazova, competing in the weight up to 55 kg, showed the result: in the snatch (64 kg) — "silver", in the clean and jerk (81 kg) — "silver", in the sum of the double event (145 kg) — "silver".
Saparbai Atajanov (+ 81 kg) recorded 120 kg in the snatch and won the bronze medal.
