But only three Portuguese players distinguished themselves — Cristiano Ronaldo, Bernardo Silva and Nuno Mendes. The only mistake was made by Joao Felix, who hit the post.

The captain of the Portuguese national team has previously stated that he is holding the last European Championship in his career. He played 30 matches at the Euro, which is a competition record. For the first time, Ronaldo failed to score a single goal during a European Championship game.
