The championship is held in four rounds with the participation of nine clubs of the country (Arkadag, Altyn Asyr, Ahal, Shagadam, Nebichi, Ashgabat, Energetik, Merv and Kopetdag) . 

Currently, the leading football club is Arkadag, which has scored 48 points in 16 matches. The second and third places in the standings are occupied by the Altyn Asyr teams (37 points) and "Ahal" (34 points).
