Turkmen athletes successfully performed at the international boxing tournament dedicated to the memory of the USSR Master of Sports Bokenbay Saktaganov. The competition was held from August 6 to 10 at the Dosan Batyr Sports Complex in Aktau, Mangistau Region, Kazakhstan.

Representatives from Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, the Republic of Karakalpakstan and various cities of Kazakhstan took part in the tournament.

Turkmen boxers won six medals: one gold, one silver and four bronze medals.

Jeyhun Dovranov won the gold medal in the 54 kg weight category.

Meylis Shadurdiyev (57 kg) won the silver medal.

Bronze medalists were Hangeldi Lukmanov (48 kg), Mekan Sabyrov (60 kg), Annageldi Jumamyradov (63.5 kg) and Atageldy Seyidov (67 kg).

The Turkmen team performed under the guidance of the senior coach of the youth team of Turkmenistan Maksud Sheripov and the head coach of the national team Tenilbek Jumakulov. Also at the tournament, the representative of Turkmenistan Timur Halilov served as a referee.
