The Italian women's tennis team defeated Slovakia in the final of the Billie Jean King Cup, which took place in Malaga, Spain.

The Italians won the match 2-0: Lucia Bronzetti beat Viktoria Grunčáková (6-2, 6-4), and Jasmine Paolini crushed Rebecca Šramková (6-2, 6-1).

This victory was the fifth in the history of the Italian team in this tournament, which was known as the Fed Cup until 2020. The record for the most wins belongs to the United States, which has claimed the trophy 18 times. For Slovakia, this was their first final since 2002.
