Argentine specialist Gerardo Martino announced his departure from the position of head coach of the football club Inter Miami, as officially reported on the team's website. According to the club, the coach is leaving his post for personal reasons.

During Martino's tenure, which began in June 2023, the team, featuring the legendary Lionel Messi, achieved significant success. Inter Miami set a regular season MLS record, earning 74 points. However, in the playoffs, the team unexpectedly stumbled, losing in the first round to Atlanta United.

"It has been an honor to work at such a club and lead such a special team," Martino commented on his departure, expressing gratitude to everyone involved in his work at the club.

According to media reports, Javier Mascherano, a former teammate of Messi at Barcelona, may become the new head coach of Inter Miami.
