Horse competitions held in Mary in honor of the National Holiday of Turkmen Horse

Festive events were held at the Mary Equestrian Sports Complex on the eve of the National Holiday of Turkmen Horse.

The jockey competitions, held annually in the country in honor of the holiday of the "heavenly" horses, enrich its diverse palette, symbolizing the unbroken connection of times and the continuity of generations, as well as the Turkmen people's commitment to their ancient national traditions.

The traditional races, which remain consistently popular in our country, provide an opportunity to admire the magnificent Akhal-Teke horses and to appreciate the skills of the riders.

After the ceremonial part of the opening, the festive races began. These competitions contribute not only to the popularization of equestrian sports but also to the involvement of young people in these activities.

Today, the Akhal-Teke horses demonstrated their speed, agility, strength, and endurance in seven races over various distances. From the very first moments, the competitions captured the attention of numerous spectators. The high level of competition on the racetracks adds emotional intensity and spectacle to such events.

In the opening race over a distance of 1,000 meters, the best result—1 minute 3.5 seconds—was shown by the horse Gochyigit, ridden by jockey M. Guvadzov.

The Akhal-Teke horse Demirdon, jockey I. Sparov, was the first to finish in the second race over 1,200 meters, with a result of 1 minute 20.5 seconds.

The horse Myradym, ridden by B. Agamyradov, took first place in the third race over a distance of 1,200 meters, with a result of 1 minute 17.2 seconds.

The horse Garakhanjar, ridden by B. Agamyradov, became the leader in the fourth race over a distance of 1,400 meters, with a result of 1 minute 33.5 seconds.

The horse Yantar, ridden by G. Yazberdiyev, was the first to finish in the fifth race over 1,400 meters, with a result of 1 minute 37.47 seconds.

The horse Elsona, with a result of 1 minute 31.2 seconds, became the leader in the sixth race over a distance of 1,800 meters. The rider was B. Agamyradov.

The horse Dovletli, ridden by G. Khandurdyyev, was the first to finish in a tense battle for the main prize in the final, seventh race, covering the distance of 1,000 meters in 1 minute 5.39 seconds.

After the races, a solemn awards ceremony was held for the winners.
