Mascots of the III CIS Games in Azerbaijan have been announced

Energetic and friendly leopards Bebir and Leyla have been chosen as mascots for the III Games of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), which will be held in Azerbaijan in 2025. This was reported by AZERTAC.

The mascots were presented to the public at the first press conference dedicated to the III CIS Games.

They were created in the image of the Caucasian leopard and are the personification of the rich nature, strength and hospitality of Azerbaijan.

Since ancient times, the Caucasian leopard has lived in the picturesque corners of Azerbaijan. It is included in the “Big Five” Program, which covers the protection of 5 fauna species facing the threat of extinction in the Caucasus, in the Red Book of Azerbaijan and in the category of "Endangered Species" of the Red List of the International Union for Conservation of Nature.

The III CIS Games will cover 23 sports and will be held from September 28 to October 8 in the Azerbaijani cities of Ganja, Mingachevir, Gabala, Sheki, Goygol, Yevlakh and Hankendi.
