The priority is the development of youth football in Turkmenistan
On June 27, a meeting on the development of youth football in the country was held in the office building of the Football Federation of Turkmenistan in Ashgabat. The event was attended by about 50 leading experts from various regions of Turkmenistan, including the capital.
Numerous proposals and initiatives were made at the meeting to improve the conditions and quality of training of young football players. The head coach of the Turkmenistan U-20 youth national team, Dovletmyrat Annaev, stressed the need for systematic work with children's football schools throughout the country for successful participation in international tournaments.
Begench Garayev, the head coach of the Kopetdag team, expressed confidence in the availability of all necessary resources for the development of football in Turkmenistan. He noted that at the moment about 850 children are training in football clubs that are part of his team. Garayev stressed the importance of interaction with parents and proper upbringing of children, starting with their discipline and taking care of them in the learning process.
Timur Khusainov, representing the Lebap Velayat, expressed his opinion on the importance of regular courses for young coaches, which will help prepare a new generation of qualified specialists in the field of football coaching, and those, in turn, strong players.
Maksat Dzhumamyradov, coach of the Energetik team, expressed the idea of holding seasonal championships among young football teams of various age groups. He is confident that such competitions will help to significantly improve the professional level of young football players.
Following the meeting, proposals were put forward on the creation of children's teams at Major League clubs, regular competitions for children's clubs of different age groups, as well as the organization of training camps for young coaches. These measures are aimed at the systematic development of Turkmenistan's football infrastructure and support for talented young athletes.
