The team of the Specialized Children's and Youth Sports School of the Olympic Reserve (SDYUSHOR) became the winner of the football championship of Turkmenistan among youth teams born in 2008-2009.

The capital's team beat another club representing Ashgabat, Altyn Touch, with a score of 2:1 in the final.

In the bronze medal match, the Lebap team defeated the Balkan club 4-1.

Eziz Muratlyev (Sports School) was recognized as the best player of the championship. Lebap striker Orazmurad Garajanov became the top scorer of the tournament with 9 goals.

The championship was contested by 8 teams representing all regions. The teams were divided into two groups. The teams from each quartet that took the first two places qualified for the semifinals of the championship, and then played tickets to the finals of the tournament. The matches were held at the Ashgabat multifunctional stadium.

The tournament was held The State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of Turkmenistan jointly with the Football Federation of Turkmenistan.
