Danatarov's crew won the tenth stage of the Silk Way rally
The 14th edition of the race became a new test for the participants - it was the high-speed first part of the marathon stage, after overcoming which the crews had to independently maintain the equipment.
The tenth stage of the Silk Road Rally connected Bayankhongor and Mandalgobi. The total distance was 562.86 km.
The tenth stage was held in a marathon format: mechanics and assistance crews remained at the bivouac, while the athletes had to independently repair the equipment in case of an accident or malfunction. At the same time, the stage took place along very high-speed steppe roads and winding rocky routes, which required increased attentiveness of navigators and filigree skills of pilots.
Another victory for Danatarov's crew
Maksatmyrat Danatarov today won the T2 series off-road vehicle classification, beating Mikhail Mityaev by a little over six minutes. The top three at the stage were closed by Andrey Sushentsov, the leader in the overall standings.
The gap between the S&A Racing crew before the final stage exceeds five hours. The second place is still occupied by representatives of the Turkmenavtoulaglary agency, brothers Merdan and Shohrat Toylyev, the crew of the Turkmenistan Automobile Sports Federation under the control of pilot Maksatmyrat Danatarov and navigator Didar Orazmedov is in third place. Next in the classification are Mikhail Mityaev and Meilis Abdullaev.
The rally raid will end on July 15.
