The national teams of Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan will take part in the competition. Athletes will compete in the age categories of U16, U18, and among adults.
Turkmenistan will be represented at this tournament by 14 athletes. This was reported to a SalamNews correspondent by the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of Turkmenistan.
The competition will be held in three Jiu-Jitsu disciplines: ne-waza, fighting and contact.
Jiu-Jitsu, which originated in Japan, is a continuation of samurai traditions. Samurai believed that their success lay in the ability to neutralize an opponent without weapons, using only their own bodies. This martial art involves using the enemy's strength against him.
