Referees from Turkmenistan will referee the AFC Challenge League match for the first time
The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has entrusted a team of Turkmen referees to officiate the second round match of the Challenge League between the teams "Paro" from Bhutan and "Nejmeh" from Lebanon.
Resul Mammedov has been appointed as the main referee, working with assistants Ahmet Begnazarov and Palvan Palvanov. The match will take place on October 29 at the "Changlimithang" stadium in Thimphu (Bhutan) and will start at 16:00 Ashgabat time.
This is the first time for Turkmen referees to officiate a match within the Challenge League.
Resul Mammedov, a FIFA-licensed referee, previously officiated one of the qualifying matches of the Asian Cup for players under 20, making this match the second in his career as the main referee in AFC tournaments.
