The Nomad Games will be held in Astana from September 8 to 13, 2024.
About 4 thousand participants from more than 100 countries of the world will take part in the competition. It is expected that more than 100 thousand tourists will attend sports competitions and cultural events. Turkmenistan will also take part in the games.
As part of the sports program of the 5th World Nomad Games in Astana, it is planned to hold competitions in 20 competitive and 10 demonstration sports.
These include horse racing, national wrestling, traditional intellectual games, competitions in martial arts, archery, national bird hunting, horse riding, folk games, as well as demonstrations in ethnic sports.
The Ethnoaul "Universe of Nomads" will be opened directly in Astana, where every visitor will be able to get acquainted with the culture and traditions of the Kazakh people, as well as the original culture of the participating countries.
Up to 30 thousand residents and guests of the capital will be able to visit the ethnoaul daily.
The 5th World Nomad Games in Astana will be held under the motto "Uly Dala dubiri" - Meeting in the Great Steppe."
The matches of the 9th round of the Turkmenistan Futsal Super League 2024 were held at the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports.
In the central match of the round, the leader of the standings Senagatbank beat the second-placed Denizchi with a score of 3:0. Rakhatmurad Nepesov (25), Mekan Khayytmukhamedov (30), Aimurad Makhtymov (39) scored goals.

Russian tennis player Mirra Andreeva has become the youngest semi‑finalist of a Grand Slam tournament in the last 27 years, the press service of the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) reports.
The 17‑year-old Russian defeated world number two Arina Sobolenko from Belarus in the quarterfinals of the French Open (6:7, 6:4, 6:4) and she made it to the semifinals.

The head coach of the Turkmenistan national team Mergen Orazov and the captain of the team Arslanmurat Amanov shared their expectations for the upcoming match against Uzbekistan in the qualifying cycle of the 2026 World Cup and the 2027 Asian Cup.
