Oraz Mammetgeldiyev, a specialist in the international relations department of the Football Federation of Turkmenistan (FFT), was included in the Organizing Committee of the Football Federation of Uzbekistan for the 2024 Futsal World Cup. The FFT reported this to Turkmenportal.
Mammetgeldiyev’s participation is aimed at exchanging experience and gaining new knowledge in organizing international tournaments. This decision will strengthen friendly relations between the federations and will contribute to raising the level of football organization in both countries.
The Futsal World Championship will be held from September 14 to October 6, 2024 in three cities of Uzbekistan: Tashkent, Andijan and Bukhara. The CAFA region will be represented by four teams at the tournament: Uzbekistan, Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan.
Based on the results of the draw, the opponents of the Central Asian teams in the group stage were determined:
Uzbekistan will play with the Netherlands, Paraguay and Costa Rica
Tajikistan will meet with Portugal, Morocco and Panama
Afghanistan was in a group with Argentina, Ukraine and Angola
Iran will compete with France, Venezuela and Guatemala
16 teams will advance to the playoffs: the first and second place finishers in the groups, as well as the four best teams among the third place finishers. They will continue to fight for the championship title.
The current futsal world champion is the Portuguese national team.
The Austrian national team defeated the Netherlands with a score of 3:2 in the match of the third round of the group stage of the European Football Championship, securing access to the playoffs from first place in the group. The match was held in Berlin.
The goals for Austria were scored by Romano Schmid (59th minute) and Marcel Sabitzer (80th minute). Cody Gakpo (47th) and Memphis Depay (75th) scored for the Netherlands. Doniella Malen's own goal opened the scoring in the 6th minute.

In the 12th round of the Kyrgyzstan football championship, Suleyman Muhadov was recognized as the best player in the meeting between the “Abdysh-Ata” and “Kyrgyzaltyn” teams. A striker from Turkmenistan, playing for “Abdysh-
Ata”, brought his team victory by scoring the decisive goal in the 70th minute of the game.
Thanks to this victory, “Abdysh-Ata” strengthened its lead in the standings, gaining 30 points. The team is ahead of its closest pursuers – “Dordoi” by 5 points and “Alai” by 9 points.
It is worth noting that this is not the first time Muhadov has become a key player for his team. Earlier, his goal helped “Abdysh-Ata” reach the semi-finals of the Kyrgyzstan Cup.
The Italian national team played a draw with the Croatian team in the match of the third round of the group stage of the European Football Championship. The meeting was held in Leipzig and ended with a score of 1:1.
This result permitted the Italians to reach the 1/8 finals of the tournament.
As part of the Croatian national team, Luka Modric scored the goal (55th minute), becoming the oldest goal scorer in the history of the European Championships. Mattia Zaccagni scored for the Italians (90+8).

The season in the National Hockey League (NHL) has ended. In the decisive seventh match of the Stanley Cup finals, the Florida Panthers from the United States and the Edmonton Oilers from Canada determined the winner of the trophy.

Nine medals were won by athletes of the Turkmenistan national team at the Central Asian Championship in traditional karate, held in Almaty. “Turkmenistan: Golden Age” reports this.
The competition brought together about 300 karatekas from five countries, who competed for the titles of the strongest in the disciplines of kata (demonstration of formal exercises) and kumite (fights) in various age categories.
The delegation of Turkmenistan included 12 athletes, nine of whom won 4 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals.
The highest awards were given to:

- Ibragim Shagulyev (Kumite, 14-15 years old),
- Nurgeldi Annagurbanov (kata, 18-21 years old),

The athletes were prepared for the Central Asian Championship by the head coach of the Turkmenistan national team Dovlet Berdyev and his assistants Kemal Atayev, Diyar Hojayev and Eymur Mademinov.
The national football championship among young men born in 2008-2009 has started in Ashgabat.
8 teams from all velayats of the country and the city of Ashgabat participate in the championship. The teams are divided into two groups. The first two placed teams from each quartet qualify for the semi-finals of the championship.

Judoists from Turkmenistan have begun the final stage of preparation for the main start of the four–year anniversary - the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. The games will be held from July 26 to August 11.
Currently, the training process for Turkmen athletes is taking place in the Croatian city of Porec.
Here, the Turkmen national team, led by head coach Kazuhiko Tokuno and senior coach Tatyana Vidyasova, will hold intensive training sessions until June 29. After that, the representatives of the national team will go to Spain for training.

Serdar Rakhimov is 20 years old. He first made people talk about himself in 2023, when he won silver at the European Open Championship in Rome, then won a gold medal at the Junior European Cup in Sarajevo and became a silver medalist at the Junior Asian Cup in Tashkent.

In 2023, this talented judoka was also awarded silver at the European Junior Cup 2023 in Sarajevo, bronze at the Asian Open Tournament in Kuwait and at the XIX Asian Summer Games in Hangzhou. In March 2024, she became the bronze medalist of the Grand Slam in Antalya.
Representatives of the Turkmenistan national swimming team are undergoing a training camp (TCB) in Tbilisi, Georgia.

On June 22-23, the 14th international children's rhythmic gymnastics tournament “Merry Caravan 2024” will be held in Tashkent. Turkmenistan will be represented by 39 athletes aged 6 to 16 years from Ashgabat, Mary and Turkmenbashy, the country’s Gymnastics Federation reported.
The team is led by senior coach of the national team Fiza Aivazova. The coaching staff also includes Marina Kartashova (Mary), Irina Kostandyan (Balkan) and Elena Ustimova (Ashgabat).
Gymnasts from 10 countries will take part in the tournament: Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Russia, Belarus, Serbia and Mongolia.
Competitions will be held in individual and group programs. Winners in each age category and type of exercise will be awarded medals, diplomas and prizes.
This tournament provides young Turkmen gymnasts with an excellent opportunity to prove themselves on the international stage and gain valuable competitive experience.
