Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has resumed training with the team after a broken rib, the German club’s official website reports.

Neuer has not played since December 3, when he was sent off for the first time in his career in a German Cup match against Bayer. In the 17th minute of the game, he collided with Leverkusen player Jeremy Frimpong and received a red card. Bayern head coach Vincent Kompany then announced that Neuer would be out until the end of the year.

Bayern will play their next Bundesliga match on January 11 away against Borussia Monchengladbach, and on January 6 they will play a friendly match against Austrian Salzburg.

Manuel Neuer has played for Bayern since 2011 and during this time he has become an 11-time Bundesliga champion, won the Champions League twice, won five German Cups and six German Super Cups, two UEFA Super Cups and two Club World Cups.

The football club "Arkadag" from Turkmenistan will hold a training camp in Turkey in January. One of the opponents of Vladimir Bayramov's team will be the Kyzylorda "Kaysar".

According to the press service of the Kazakh team, a friendly match between "Arkadag" and "Kaysar" is scheduled for January 18, 2025.

The national fencing team of Turkmenistan will take part in the Asian Championship among cadets (U17) and juniors (U21), which will be held in February 2025 in Kuwait, the newspaper “Neutral Turkmenistan” reported.

According to the Chairman of the Fencing Federation of Turkmenistan Mered Meredov, as part of the preparation for the international competitions, a national championship in these age categories will be held in Ashgabat in mid-January.

The results of the tournament will be decisive in forming the final composition of the national team for participation in the continental championship.

Vladimir Bayramov was recognized as the best coach for the 2024 season by the Football Federation of Turkmenistan. This was reported by the press service of the organization.

Last season, the football club “Arkadag” under the guidance of the specialist became the winner of the Higher League of Turkmenistan, the Cup and the Super Cup of the country.

Bayramov is 43 years old, he has been heading “Arkadag” since December 2023. Under his leadership, the team became the champion of Turkmenistan twice in a row, won the cup twice and won the Super Cup once.

At the Asian Youth (U17) and Junior (U20) Championships in Doha (Qatar), the Turkmenistan national team won 28 medals: 11 gold, 8 silver and 9 bronze. 237 athletes from 20 countries took part in the competition, and 10 athletes won medals as part of the Turkmen national team.

The largest number of awards was won by Ogulshat Amanova (up to 49 kg), who competed in two age categories – among girls and juniors. She has six medals: two gold in the snatch (79 kg) and four silver – in the clean and jerk (97 kg) and in the total (176 kg).

Shakhzadbek Matyakubov (up to 102 kg) climbed to the top step of the junior podium three times, winning gold in the snatch (177 kg), clean and jerk (219 kg) and biathlon (396 kg). He set a new world record among juniors in the clean and jerk and biathlon.

Anamjan Rustamova (up to 87 kg) won three gold medals among juniors: in the snatch (135 kg), clean and jerk (103 kg) and the combined total (238 kg).

Gulyalek Kakamyradova (up to 64 kg) won two gold medals in the junior competition – in the snatch (92 kg) and the combined total (202 kg), as well as bronze in the clean and jerk (110 kg).

Suleiman Dzhafarov (up to 102 kg) among juniors won gold in the snatch (150 kg) and two silver medals – in the clean and jerk (176 kg) and the combined total (326 kg).

Islam Akmuradov (up to 89 kg) won three bronze medals in the youth tournament: in the snatch (133 kg), clean and jerk (163 kg) and the combined total (296 kg).

Didarbek Dzhumabaev (up to 73 kg) won three medals: silver in the clean and jerk (171 kg) and bronze in the combined total (298 kg) among youth, as well as bronze in the clean and jerk in the parallel event among juniors.

Medina Amanova (up to 64 kg) won silver in the combined event (201 kg) and bronze in the snatch (92 kg) among girls under 17.

Mayagozel Hurmenova (up to 59 kg) received a bronze medal in the snatch (73 kg) among juniors.

Babur Amangeldyev (up to 67 kg) won a bronze medal in the snatch (128 kg) among young men.

On December 25, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov left for a working visit to the Russian Federation to participate in the informal Summit of the Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States, traditionally held on the eve of the New Year. At the Ashgabat International Airport, the head of Turkmenistan was seen off by officials.

As reported by TDH, after flying to St. Petersburg, the presidential airliner landed at Pulkovo International Airport. Here, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov was met by officials.

In the afternoon, the head of Turkmenistan proceeded to the Ice Palace of the Igora Winter Sports Complex. This large Complex is a multifunctional venue for competitions and training of professional and amateur athletes, active recreation, as well as for holding events of various levels. The Ice Palace, which is part of its infrastructure, includes an ice arena, a conference area and other facilities intended for sports and cultural leisure.

In the foyer of the Ice Palace, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov was warmly welcomed by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The participants of the summit were invited to the Olympic Hall of the Ice Palace, where an informal CIS Summit was held.

Opening the meeting, Russian President Vladimir Putin once again warmly greeted his foreign colleagues, expressing gratitude to everyone for accepting the invitation to visit St. Petersburg to participate in the informal pre-New Year Summit.

During the Summit, the results of the Commonwealth’s activities for the current year were analyzed, priority areas of cooperation and tasks for the coming period were identified. At the same time, positive indicators of economic partnership were noted with satisfaction. The subject of an interested exchange of opinions also became topical issues of the regional and global agenda.

It was noted that all these years the Commonwealth countries have been steadily following the course of equal mutually beneficial cooperation based on constant goodwill, mutual respect and trust.

The current Summit has become another confirmation of the common desire of the CIS states to bring fruitful cooperation to a new level that meets modern realities and the existing impressive potential.

Of course, the priority area of partnership in the Commonwealth is the trade and economic sphere. Turkmenistan pays great attention to deepening and diversifying productive ties in this area. This is confirmed by the Declaration on Strategic Economic Cooperation of the CIS Member States, adopted following the Commonwealth of Independent States Summit held in Ashgabat in October 2019.

Among the key tasks of the present time are also increasing mutual trade, increasing the volume of trade, developing long-term ties in the industrial sector, digital transformation, stimulating investment and business activity.

And of course, the humanitarian sphere has been and remains an important area of interaction in the CIS format. The cultural interconnection and spiritual closeness of the peoples of our countries, centuries-old common history are the solid foundation on which integration processes are built within the Commonwealth.

President Vladimir Putin invited the heads of state of the CIS to take part in the upcoming celebrations in Moscow next year on the occasion of a significant anniversary – the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. As was emphasized, during the harsh war years, our peoples demonstrated unparalleled heroism and courage at the front and in the rear, and the Commonwealth countries sacredly honor this immortal feat.

Using the opportunity, the head of the Russian Federation also conveyed to all citizens of the CIS countries his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of the upcoming New Year.

An informal dinner was given in honor of the distinguished guests on behalf of the President of the Russian Federation.

Upon completion of the program of the working visit to the Russian Federation, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov proceeded to the Pulkovo International Airport in St. Petersburg, from where he departed for his homeland.

At the Ashgabat International Airport, the head of state was met by officials.

Turkmen athlete Suleyman Hudayberdiyev won gold and silver medals at an international tennis tournament for athletes under 14 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The competition featured 36 athletes from 13 countries. In the doubles tournament, the Turkmen tennis player, partnering with Pakistani Muhammad Hassan Usmani, won the gold medal. In the individual competitions, Khudayberdiyev added a silver medal to his collection.

At the award ceremony, the medals were presented to Suleyman Hudayberdiyev by Rafael Nadal, one of the greatest tennis players of modern times. The Spaniard has 22 Grand Slam titles, two Olympic gold medals, and five Davis Cup victories with the Spanish national team.

For the young athlete from Turkmenistan, receiving awards from such a legend of world tennis was an especially memorable moment.

Turkmen weightlifter Gulalek Kakamuradova became the winner of the Asian Championship among youth and juniors in Doha (Qatar) in the weight category up to 64 kg.

The Turkmen athlete lifted 92 kg in the snatch, 110 kg in the clean and jerk and gained a total of 202 kg. The second place was taken by her compatriot Medina Amanova - 201 kg - (92+109), the third place was taken by the representative of Chinese Taipei Lee En-Yun - 200 kg - (89+111).

Turkmen weightlifter Shahzadbek Matyakubov won the gold medal at the Asian Youth and Junior Championships in Doha (Qatar), setting a world record.

Matyakubov won in the 102 kg weight category and set junior world records in the clean and jerk (219 kg) and the classic biathlon total of 396 kg (177+219).

The second and third places were taken by Iranian representatives Alireza Nasiri – 389 kg (171+218) and Abolfazl Zare – 366 kg (172+194).

The "Arkadag" players beat "Ahal" 1:0 in the final match of the Turkmenistan Cup. The meeting took place in Ashgabat. The author of the only goal was Begench Akmammedov (45th minute).

“Arkadag” defeated “Shagadam” in the quarterfinals (3:0 and 3:1). In the semi-finals, Vladimir Bayramov’s team beat "Nebitchi" (7:2 and 5:2).

“Ahal” met with “Kopetdag” at the 1/4 final stage (2:1 and 3:3), and in the semifinals in both matches with “Altyn Asyr” they won a technical victory with a score of 3:0.

Thus, "Arkadag" won 3 trophies during the season - the Turkmenistan Championship, the Turkmenistan Cup and the Turkmenistan Super Cup.

In Spain, on December 22, in the 18th round of La Liga, Real Madrid beat Sevilla 4-2 at home.

Forwards Kylian Mbappe, Rodrigo and Brahim Diaz, as well as midfielder Federico Valverde, scored for Madrid.

Under the guidance of experienced coaches Abat Mukhammetniyazova and Ilina Karimova, Aynur Berdyeva and Rakhman Khojamkuliev won silver medals, while Hanna Sakhedova received a bronze medal.
